A brief description of the ABO

 

Based on the concept of the EUROPEAN BOARD OF ORTHODONTISTS which is in existence since 1997, the Austrian Board of Orthodontists was created on a national level by the VÖK at the end of 1998.

The ABO is a regulatory organization that offers committed orthodontists the opportunity to have their knowledge and skills evaluated "on neutral ground" by a committee of experts.

By being accepted as a member of the Austrian Board of Orthodontists an orthodontist will have proven, on a voluntary basis, his qualification and ability to perform orthodontic treatment in accordance with the existing standards of science.
